I used this service to get an apostille for a POA. Very quick process and also low price compared to other notaries. Would recommend to anyone in need of apostille or notarization.

As a business owner, I often find myself needing to notarize documents. About a year ago, I discovered NotaryPublic24, and I've been a loyal user ever since. Their customer support is fantastic and always clarifies exactly what I need and the documents are typically notarized on the same day. I would highly recommend NotaryPublic24 for both businesses and individuals.

NotaryPublic24

This is what you get

A PDF of your document with three things added: the seal of your appointed Notary Public, their signature, and a notarial certificate that states exactly what was verified and when. That combination is what a bank, an employer, a university, or an authority abroad is looking for when they ask for a notarized document.

The PDF can be checked by whoever receives it, forwarded by email, and printed if a paper version is asked for. If the recipient insists on a physical original, a hard copy can be posted on request.

Same legal act, no appointment

A visit to a local Notary Public means finding one, booking a slot, bringing your ID, and often waiting several days for an opening. With NotaryPublic24, the same notarial act happens online. You upload the document, complete a guided identity check with a biometric and ID verification, and a qualified Notary Public is appointed to your case. The notarized document is delivered within 24 hours.

There is no meeting and nothing to install. Anything that needs special attention, such as an educational record that has to be verified with the issuing institution, is flagged before work starts, so there are no surprises halfway through. Support is available online the whole way, and if anything on the platform’s side goes wrong, the service fee is refunded in full.

Common situations for notarization

A power of attorney so a relative can sign for a property abroad. A consent letter so a child can travel with one parent. An affidavit or statutory declaration that a foreign court or authority has asked for. A company resolution a bank in another country needs before it opens an account. A signed letter that a landlord, school, or employer abroad wants to see notarized.

Most personal and business documents can be notarized remotely. The exceptions are wills and codicils, which require in-person witnessing, and documents where the receiving authority explicitly demands an in-person notarization. If you are not sure whether yours qualifies, contact support before ordering and you will usually have an answer within minutes.

Do you also need an Apostille?

Notarization confirms that a signature, copy, or identity is genuine. An Apostille is a separate certificate that makes the notarized document recognized by authorities in other countries under the Hague Convention.

In most cases the rule is simple. If the document is going to a private party abroad, such as a bank, employer, landlord, or company, notarization is enough. If it is going to a foreign government body, embassy, court, or university, an Apostille is usually required on top. The International Apostille product includes the notarization, so if you know you need both, start there. If you are not sure, contact support before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly will I receive?

A secure PDF of your document with the seal, signature, and notarial certificate of your appointed Notary Public, delivered by email within 24 hours of identity verification. A hard copy can be posted on request.

Is a notarization done online accepted abroad?

Yes. The notarial act is the same as in an office: a qualified Notary Public verifies your identity and certifies the document. Banks, employers, universities, and registries accept the PDF. Some authorities still require a physical original, which can be posted on request. If you are not sure what your recipient needs, ask them before ordering, or contact support.

Do I have to meet the Notary Public?

No. The guided identity verification, with a biometric and ID check, replaces the in-person meeting. The whole process is online.

How fast is it?

Within 24 hours of identity verification for most documents. Educational records and some corporate documents take longer because they have to be verified with the issuing institution. You are told before work starts if that applies to you.

Which country will my Notary Public be from?

A qualified Notary Public is appointed based on your document, destination, and case. If your recipient requires a Notary Public from a specific country, such as the UK, use the country-specific service under Services.

What if my document turns out not to qualify?

You are told before any work is done, and nothing is charged for work that has not started. If the platform or your appointed Notary Public makes a mistake, the service fee is refunded in full.

Do I also need an Apostille?

Only if the document is going to a foreign government body, embassy, court, or university. For private recipients notarization is usually enough. The International Apostille product includes the notarization. If you are not sure, contact support before ordering.

Is my document safe?

Yes. Uploads are encrypted in transit and at rest, only your appointed Notary Public sees the document, and the platform is GDPR compliant.

What is a Notary Public?

An authorized official who verifies identities and signatures and applies an official seal and signature to certify documents.

Does a notarized document have an expiry date?

No. Some organizations do require the notarization to be recent, for example within the past 3 or 6 months, so check your recipient's requirement.

    What is notarization?

    Is yours covered?

    Supported documents (International Notarization)

A wide range of personal, business, and legal documents can be notarized remotely:

    • Powers of attorney
    • Affidavits and statutory declarations
    • Letters of consent
    • Corporate resolutions
    • Articles of association
    • Commercial agreements
    • Property and asset documents
    • Educational records (where required for verification)

A few document types are explicitly prohibited from remote notarization:

    What you need to know

    Important info (International Notarization)

If your document needs a Notary Public from a specific country, we recommend the country-specific product under Services. For International orders (no country-specific requirement), NotaryPublic24 assigns a qualified Notary Public based on your document type, destination, and case specifics. All Notary Publics on the platform are qualified and licensed to handle international notarization.

After you place your order, you’ll be guided through online identity verification with a biometric and ID check. Clear instructions appear at every step, and the whole process is encrypted and stays inside the secure flow. The verification usually takes a few minutes.

As a secure PDF by email, typically within 24 hours of identity verification. There is no physical document by default. If you need a hard copy mailed somewhere, request that at order or via support.

It depends on where the document is going. For documents going to foreign government bodies, embassies, courts, or universities abroad, an Apostille is often required on top of notarization. In many other cases, notarization alone is enough. Recommended first: if you know you need an Apostille from a specific country’s authority (UK FCDO, etc.), see country-specific options under Services. Otherwise, International Apostille is the right choice — it includes notarization as part of the order. If you’re not sure, contact support and you’ll know within minutes.

Always confirm the receiving authority’s exact requirements. Some receiving parties require specific notarization formats, certified translations, or Apostille certification. If you’re not sure, contact support before ordering.

    Our delivery promise

    Money-back guarantee* (International Notarization)

If anything on NotaryPublic24’s end goes wrong, whether that’s a mistake by your appointed Notary Public or an issue with how your order was handled, your service fee is refunded in full. You also get help to put things right.

Covered: any failure on the platform’s side or the appointed Notary Public’s side. If the notarization isn’t done correctly, or if your order isn’t handled as it should be, your service fee is refunded in full.

Not covered: situations where instructions weren’t followed. For example, providing a document at order time that turns out to be unsuitable for notarization. In those cases NotaryPublic24 and your appointed Notary Public have already committed time, so a partial refund may apply depending on what’s reasonable.

Support will be transparent about exactly what happened and why. The goal is always to make sure everything works out as smoothly as possible, and if something does go wrong, NotaryPublic24 does its best to help you find the right next step.
